What we collect

Kettlestitch is a content site. We do not require an account to read it, and most pages can be read without submitting any personal information. The only form on the site is the newsletter box on the home page, which is cosmetic — it stores a flag in your browser's local storage to remember that you've signed up and does not send your email address anywhere.

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information for security and performance — things like IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is standard server-log data, kept for a limited time, and is not used to build a profile of individual visitors.

Cookies and local storage

We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. The site may use your browser's local storage for small, non-identifying preferences (such as remembering the cosmetic newsletter signup mentioned above). This data stays on your device and isn't transmitted to us.

Third parties

We don't sell, rent, or share visitor information with third parties. We don't embed third-party advertising networks or social media trackers on this site. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first.

Email correspondence

If you email us at hello@kettlestitch.shop — with a question, a correction, or a topic suggestion — we keep that correspondence only as long as needed to respond and, where relevant, to follow up on a correction to a published entry.

Children's privacy

Kettlestitch is a general-audience editorial site and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we'll update this page and adjust the "last updated" date above. We don't expect frequent changes, since we collect very little to begin with.
